Wilanow Poster Museum was founded in 1968 and is Europe's first museum dedicated entirely to posters. It has a fascinating display of 55,000 posters from Poland and many other countries.
In Poland, poster art was acknowledged earlier than elsewhere. Names such as Henryk Tomaszewski, Franczisek Starowieyski and Jan Lenica have international fame.
Of particular interest are Polish posters of the socialist times. The museum is also the venue for the Warsaw International Poster Biennale. Monday 12-4 pm, Tuesday-Sunday 10 am-4 pm.
