Wilanow Poster Museum was founded in 1968 and is Europe's first museum dedicated entirely to posters. It has a fascinating display of 55,000 posters from Poland and many other countries. The Foksal Gallery or Galeria Foksal is a non-commercial art gallery in Warsaw established in 1966. Opera was brought to Poland only twenty years after it first appeared in Florence, by Royal Prince Ladislaus IV Vasa, who in 1628 invited the first Italian opera troupe to Warsaw.
